Tenable Security & Vulnerability Analyst

Primary Purpose and Goal of Role  

Quzara LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Tenable Security & Vulnerability Analyst. This role demands a strong focus on conducting, analyzing, and reporting on security scans, managing vulnerabilities, and guiding clients through the remediation process. The candidate will be instrumental in leveraging Tenable technologies to ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place.

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive security scans using Tenable solutions, ensuring thorough coverage and accurate detection of vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze scan results to identify vulnerabilities, assess their severity, and determine potential impacts.
  • Conduct in-depth research on Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and stay updated with the latest security threats and trends.
  • Prepare detailed vulnerability and remediation reports, clearly articulating findings and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and present remediation strategies to clients, providing expert guidance through the process of addressing and mitigating identified vulnerabilities.
  • Initiate and manage ticketing processes for tracking vulnerabilities and their resolution status.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to facilitate the effective remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Regularly update clients and management on the status of vulnerability management efforts, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in vulnerability management and security engineering.
  • Profound knowledge and hands-on experience with Tenable products and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability in researching CVEs and understanding their impact on systems and networks.
  • Proven track record of writing comprehensive technical and remediation reports.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
