Primary Purpose and Goal of Role
The Federal Proposal Manager & Capture Specialist is a key player in our team, managing federal contract proposals and capturing new business. This role combines strategic vision, detail orientation, and a commitment to excellence, crucial for securing contracts that support our strategic objectives and ensure growth in the federal marketplace.
Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of proposal development, including planning, writing, editing, and submission.
Perform capture management to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Collaborate with various teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
Ensure compliance with RFP requirements and company standards.
Develop and maintain proposal templates and related documentation.
Deliver high-quality cybersecurity proposals to civilian and DoD agencies.
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field.
Extensive experience with federal, state, local, and education proposals.
Proven experience in capture management and proposal development.
Familiarity with 8a, small business, and federal contracting processes.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and terminology.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Government experience is a must-have.
Preference for candidates with experience as government contracting officers.
Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
Experience with commercial proposal development.
Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and related compliance.
Certification in proposal management (e.g., APMP).
